Hey There!
My name is Christina Mortimer. In my work, I bring deep empathy, sensitivity, and nonjudgmental support to all my clients. Since a young child, I have always been naturally attuned to the emotions of others, and I am consistently drawn to understanding and helping people navigate their worlds. Having spent over a decade on the other side of the chair, I know firsthand the courage it takes to seek support and the profound impact of a safe and validating therapeutic space.

About Me
My first exposure to the mental health field began at 18 years old, driven by both personal childhood experiences and a deep commitment to my healing journey. Over the years, I have invested countless hours, money, resources, and energy into my personal growth—from attending my own therapy for many years, as well as participating and engaging in various trainings. These experiences and personal investments have become integral to both my personal life and my therapeutic work, shaping the way I support others in finding clarity, resilience, and self-acceptance.
Over the years, I have cultivated experience working with diverse populations, including:
-
Survivors of trauma and abuse
-
Individuals with substance use issues
-
BIPOC communities
-
Children and adolescents
-
LGBTQ+
-
Men’s mental health

My work is grounded in cultural humility and a deep respect for each client’s unique background, experiences, and identity. I recognize that societal pressures, systemic barriers, and personal histories all play a role in mental health, and I strive to tailor my approach to meet each individual’s needs.
I am particularly passionate about breaking down the stigma surrounding men’s mental health. In a world where men are often expected to suppress their emotions, I aim to provide a comfortable, nonjudgmental space where they can openly explore their feelings, process challenges, and develop healthier ways of coping. I understand the impact of societal expectations on men’s emotional well-being. I do my best to normalize vulnerability, self-expression, and self-compassion.

As a humanistic therapist, my therapy approach is rooted in the belief that every individual has the capacity for growth, self-discovery, and wellness. Rather than focusing solely on symptoms, I look at the whole person—their experiences, relationships, values, and aspirations—to provide meaningful and transformative care.
